Former reality star Jeana Keough battles cancer; daughter seeks help for treatment costs

Former "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Jeana Keough is fighting tongue cancer, her daughter Kara revealed. Kara launched a GoFundMe campaign to support her mother through treatment.

Keough, 70, initially dismissed a sore on her tongue as irritation from a tooth. However, after nearly a year, she sought medical attention. A biopsy confirmed planocellular carcinoma, a type of tongue cancer.

She has since undergone two surgeries to remove the tumor and then her lymph nodes. Doctors discovered the cancer had spread after the second procedure. Keough's daughter, Kara, and her partner Kyle Bosworth are raising funds to cover medical bills, daily living expenses, and additional care.

Kara expressed helplessness from afar, living across the country with three young children. She is currently with her mother in Orange County, witnessing firsthand the support needed. She emphasized the necessity of ongoing assistance for Keough, who appeared on "RHOC" for five seasons from 2006 to 2010.
