Former Taichung Councilor Wang Chao-kun to Run Again, Focuses on Healthcare

Seventy-year-old former Taichung city councilor Wang Chao-kun has declared his intention to run again for a council seat in the upcoming November elections, targeting the fourth district which encompasses Fengyuan and Houli.

Wang, who previously served as a councilor, had his bid for re-election in 2018 disqualified after violating the Farmers' Association Act. Now, he is making a comeback, focusing his campaign on enhancing healthcare services in the Houli area. He emphasizes the need for accessible medical care, stating that good healthcare construction means ensuring elders, children, and all families receive timely and reassuring care when needed.

Wang, who hails from Houli, has a comprehensive local background, having served as chairman of the Houli Township Representative Council, standing supervisor of the Houli Farmers' Association, and a director of the Zhenlan Temple. His campaign efforts have included recent appearances at events in both Fengyuan and Houli to garner public support.

He specifically highlighted his continued focus on the progress of the Fengyuan Hospital Houli Branch. Wang believes that improving local medical infrastructure is crucial for the well-being of the community, aiming to make Houli and Fengyuan better places with more hope for the future.
