Foundation Trains 300 in Skills Acquisition to Combat Poverty in Imo

Worried by the economic struggles of rural residents in Imo State, Nigeria, the Hope Rising For Imolites Foundation has partnered with Pato-Binto Entrepreneurial and Skills Acquisition Company to train 300 beneficiaries. The initiative aims to equip individuals with skills for sustainable livelihoods and alleviate hardship.

Chief Obioma Success Akagburuonye, founder of Hope Rising For Imolites Foundation, stated that his mission is to empower people with skills, enabling them to achieve financial independence and escape reliance on "crumbs falling from the table of politicians." He emphasized his commitment to attracting positive developments to Imo State and Nigeria.

Muhammed Saheeb, Director of Project at Pato-Binto, highlighted the company's focus on creating job creators rather than job seekers. The training program will cover various marketable skills, including makeup artistry, designed to provide practical, income-generating opportunities for participants, particularly women and young girls.

Participants are urged to take the training seriously, apply the skills learned in their communities, and strive for self-sufficiency. The program seeks to foster economic resilience and empower individuals to build a better future for themselves and their families.
