Foundation unites politicians and business leaders to aid women victims of violence

Politicians from across the spectrum, business leaders, and international representatives gathered for a "Bohemia Night for a Cause" to support women victims of violence in Mexico.

The event, organized by the Fundación María Teresa Ealy Díaz A.C., brought together nearly 100 individuals in Santa Fe. Its primary goal was to unite efforts in providing specialized legal and psychological accompaniment to women facing violence.

Attendees included Francisco Olvera, former governor of Hidalgo; Sergio Gutiérrez Luna, vice president of the Chamber of Deputies; federal deputies from various parliamentary groups; and prominent business figures like Beto Helfon, Francisco Cervantes, and Delia González. The ambassador of Slovakia in Mexico also participated, underscoring the international support for the cause.

Perla Díaz de Ealy, director of Public Relations for the Foundation, and Keira Hernández, administrative coordinator, led the event. Díaz de Ealy delivered an emotional address, honoring the foundation's founder, María Teresa Ealy Díaz, and stressing the organization's vital role in assisting women who often navigate the justice system in extreme vulnerability. "Behind every file is a woman. There is a story. There is a family. And there is a life that deserves the opportunity to rebuild," she stated.

The "Bohemia Night for a Cause" served as a powerful message that differences can be set aside when defending women. The foundation's mission is to ensure that no woman has to face violence or the path to justice alone, providing legal and psychological support to help them understand their rights and build a network of assistance. The event aimed to foster alliances and raise funds to expand the foundation's capacity to help more women.
