Four Clubs Earn Promotion to Uganda Premier League

The 2026/27 StarTimes Uganda Premier League will feature four new clubs following the conclusion of the FUFA Big League season. Blacks Power FC, Kigezi HomeBoyz FC, Ntugasaze FC, and Kataka FC have all secured their places among Uganda's elite football teams.

The promotion marks a significant achievement for the quartet, who demonstrated consistency and strong performances throughout the competitive FUFA Big League campaign. This elevation is expected to enhance football development in their respective regions and intensify the competition within the top-flight league.

Ahmed Hussein, FUFA's Director of Communications, extended congratulations to the newly promoted clubs. He highlighted their success as a testament to the dedication of players, coaches, administrators, and supporters. Hussein also underscored the FUFA Big League's crucial role as a stepping stone for clubs aiming to compete at the highest level of Ugandan football.

The four clubs will now shift their focus to rigorous preparations for the upcoming Uganda Premier League season. They aim to establish themselves as formidable contenders against the established teams in the league, bringing new energy and competition to Ugandan top-tier football.
