Four first-prize lottery tickets sold manually at one Gwangju store

A single lottery retailer in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, sold four first-prize winning tickets in the 1238th lottery draw, according to the Dong행복권 lottery platform. The winning numbers for the draw held on July 22 were 2, 13, 18, 32, 38, and 42, with a bonus number of 22.

Across the country, 23 tickets matched all six numbers to win the first prize. Of these, 13 were manual purchases, nine were automatic, and one was a semi-automatic purchase. The retailer, 'Yugane Lottery Shop' located on Jangji 3-gil in Gwangju, sold four of the manually purchased winning tickets. However, it has not been confirmed whether these four tickets belong to the same winner.

Another retailer in Seoul, 'Jongno 3-ga Line 1 Exit 2 Street Stall 82' on Donhwamun-ro, sold two first-prize tickets, one manual and one automatic. By region, Gyeonggi Province had the most first-prize winners with eight tickets. Busan followed with three, while Seoul, Gwangyang in South Jeolla Province, and Gyeongnam Province each had two winners. One winner each was reported in Incheon, Daejeon, North Chungcheong Province, South Chungcheong Province, and North Gyeongsang Province. Additionally, one first-prize ticket was sold through an online lottery sales site as a manual purchase.

Each first-prize winner will receive approximately 1.197 billion won. The second prize, matching five numbers plus the bonus ball, was won by 84 individuals, each receiving about 54.64 million won. Third prize winners, who matched five numbers, numbered 3,235, with each receiving approximately 1.42 million won. Fourth prize winners (four numbers) totaled 156,141, receiving a fixed prize of 50,000 won, while fifth prize winners (three numbers) numbered 2,549,183, each receiving 5,000 won. Winners must claim their prizes within one year of the payment start date.
