Four Rescued From House Fire on Cách Mạng Tháng Tám Street

Firefighters safely led four people out of a burning house on Cách Mạng Tháng Tám Street in Ho Chi Minh City, including two children aged four and one.

The fire broke out at about 8:29 a.m. at a six-story house used for both business and family living. The ground floor housed a noodle restaurant, while the upper floors served as the family’s home.

The Area 3 Firefighting and Rescue Team sent four specialized vehicles and 28 officers and soldiers to the scene. The team arrived at about 8:34 a.m., searched the building and guided the trapped occupants down the staircase to safety.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control at 8:39 a.m. and extinguished it completely one minute later. The fire burned about 12 square meters on the third floor and two square meters on the fourth. Crews protected more than 439 square meters of the house and stopped the flames from spreading to neighboring structures.

No one died or suffered reported injuries. Initial property damage stood at about 5 million Vietnamese dong, including a 32-inch television, a refrigerator, an air conditioner affected by heat radiation and several household items. Local police are investigating the cause.
