Fourth night of Niš Film Festival features premiere of “Crack in the Ice” and screening of “The Wedding”

The fourth night of the Niš Film Festival brought a red-carpet premiere, a regional blockbuster and a large gathering of actors and directors.

The evening opened with the premiere of Maja Miloš’s “Crack in the Ice,” while audiences also watched “The Wedding,” described as the region’s most-watched blockbuster after drawing more than two million viewers in a year.

Actors and filmmakers walked the red carpet before the screenings. Among those attending were Milena Radulović, Goran Bogdan and musician Robert Pešut, known as Manjifiko. The cast and creative teams also included Jovana Stojiljković, Ljubomir Bandović, Anđela Jovanović and Aleksandar Đurica.

The audience heard from “The Wedding” director Igor Šeregi, star Dragan Bjelogrlić, Anđelka Stević Žugić, Marko Grabež, Nevena Nerandžić and Denis Murić. Bjelogrlić said the festival had been created through the actors’ own effort and courage, with the aim of restoring the traditional connection between performers and the people of Niš.

The daytime program at the Cine Grand cinema included Stefan Đorđević’s “Wind, Speak to Me” and Aleksandar Radivojević’s “Karmadona.”

For the first time, the actors independently found the strength and courage to make this real acting festival happen. A great deal of effort went into restoring what matters most, the traditional connection between actors and the people of Niš.
