France Wildfire: Journalist Startled by Explosion Near Firefighting Efforts

A dramatic moment unfolded as a journalist prepared for a live report from the scene of a massive wildfire in France's Gironde region. The explosion occurred while firefighters were intensely battling the blaze, which has rapidly spread and forced the evacuation of over 40,000 people. Authorities ordered a full evacuation of the Cap Ferret peninsula, a popular tourist destination, with many residents being transported to safety by boat. The fire, which started in Saumos, north of Cap Ferret, has consumed approximately 10,000 hectares and destroyed dozens of homes.
