Franco Colapinto arrives at Monaco Grand Prix in style aboard luxury yacht

Formula 1 driver Franco Colapinto made a glamorous entrance at the Monaco Grand Prix, arriving by sea on a luxury yacht. Colapinto and his Alpine teammate Pierre Gasly were pictured navigating the waters of the Principality aboard a Beneteau Gran Turismo 50 yacht before heading to the paddock.

Alpine, the French Formula 1 team, shared a video of the pilots' arrival on social media, highlighting the luxurious mode of transport. After fulfilling media and promotional duties, Colapinto is staying aboard the Explora I, an ultra-luxury cruise ship owned by MSC Cruises. This prominent cruise line is a key sponsor of Alpine, and the ship serves as a venue for hosting guests, business partners, and notable figures during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend.

The Explora I offers prime views of the race and is positioned in a privileged spot in the local harbor. The ship itself is designed for the ultra-luxury segment, featuring premium suite finishes, private balconies, and personalized services aimed at replicating a high-end residential experience. When not used for exclusive events, the Explora I typically sails Mediterranean routes, with potential trips between Monte Carlo and Barcelona, costing up to $13,000 per person.

Despite the surrounding luxury, Colapinto's focus remains on the track. He emphasized the critical importance of qualifying for the Monaco race, noting that overtaking is extremely difficult on the street circuit. He expressed a desire to understand why the team has struggled with qualifying performance, stating that their strength has historically been in race pace.
