Fremantle star Jackson dreams of maiden AFL flag

Fremantle's Luke Jackson, who has already experienced AFL premiership glory with Melbourne, is now intensely focused on securing the club's first-ever AFL crown. Jackson, a native of Western Australia, shared his lifelong connection to the Dockers and his deep desire to be part of the historic team that achieves this milestone.

I'm a WA boy, grew up here. I supported Freo when I was a kid.

"I was in and around Freo my whole life so I'm very determined to get there," Jackson said. "I know it's going to be a lot of hard work, but if anyone can do it, it's the people at this club." He acknowledged the immense effort required but expressed confidence in the team's capabilities.

Fremantle has enjoyed a remarkable season, setting a club record with 14 consecutive wins and achieving more victories in a single season than ever before. They finished two games clear of Sydney at the top of the ladder, securing crucial home finals and the double-chance advantage. With minimal injury concerns and having defeated every team in the league, the Dockers are widely considered premiership favorites.

Jackson admitted to allowing himself to "dream a little bit" about lifting the cup, stating, "I'm only human." However, he praised Longmuir's ability to maintain the team's focus, calling it the coach's "biggest strength" in helping players stay in the moment.
