French DJ Kavinsky found dead at Paris home

French DJ Kavinsky, known for his work on the soundtrack for the 2011 film "Drive," was found dead at his Paris home on Tuesday evening. The artist, whose real name is Vincent Belorgey, was 50 years old.

A "search for the causes of death" investigation has been opened by the Paris prosecutor's office. A police source indicated that the musician had complained of headaches for several days. His neighbor alerted emergency services after not seeing the artist. Kavinsky was discovered at his residence in the 18th arrondissement of Paris around 10:30 p.m.

The possibility of a stroke is being considered, according to the police source. The prosecutor's office stated that no suspicious elements were found at the scene by first responders. Kavinsky, a prominent figure in the "French Touch" electronic music scene, had performed his hit song "Nightcall" alongside Angèle and Phoenix at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
