French Gymnasts Win European Team Bronze; Colas Earns Fourth Medal

The French women's artistic gymnastics team clinched the bronze medal at the European Championships in Zagreb, continuing a strong performance streak. This third consecutive team bronze, following similar podium finishes in 2024 and 2025, underscores the team's consistent presence among Europe's elite. The French squad accumulated 159.263 points across the four apparatuses. Russia, competing under a neutral banner, claimed the gold with 165.430 points, while Italy secured the silver with 161.796 points. The French bronze was significantly bolstered by the exceptional performance of 16-year-old Elena Colas. For her first senior season, Colas has already earned four medals. She became the European champion on the balance beam on Saturday and followed that with a silver medal in the floor exercise. Earlier in the week, she also won bronze in the individual all-around competition, solidifying her status as a rising star.
