French streamer Zerator announces final ZEvent charity marathon in 2026

The ZEvent, a major French charity streaming marathon, is set to conclude with its tenth edition from September 4 to 6, 2026. Founded in 2016 by streamers Adrien Nougaret (Zerator) and Alexandre Dachary, the event has become a record-breaking fundraiser, collecting over 58 million euros for 23 associations over its history. These include prominent organizations like Secours Populaire, Croix Rouge, Institut Pasteur, and WWF, alongside smaller charities such as Solidarité paysanne and Sea Shepherd.

For the tenth and last ZEvent, we want to finish in apotheosis.

This final edition will bring together a large contingent of French streamers, including McFly & Carlito, Domingo, Amixem, and Samuel Etienne, who will participate in various challenges and games. The event is known for its "homemade, friendly, and good-natured" atmosphere. Zerator explained that the decision to end ZEvent stems from the ephemeral nature of the streaming industry, which thrives on novelty. After a decade, he feels they have explored all avenues to expand the event while preserving its core identity.

To put it simply, it's like the Telethon, but instead of being broadcast on a single channel, we meet on hundreds of channels.

"If we wanted to keep it going, it would have to change drastically, and it wouldn't really be ZEvent anymore," Zerator stated. He emphasized that this marks the end of the ZEvent format, not their commitment to charity. The organizers have other charitable initiatives in mind. The upcoming final event promises to be a grand finale, with Zerator hinting at numerous surprises planned to conclude the decade-long journey on a high note.
