Friends demand justice for slain ex-OGTV broadcaster

Friends of Kitan Oyesiku, a former broadcaster with Ogun State Television, are calling for intensified efforts from the state government and security agencies to uncover the circumstances surrounding her death and bring those responsible to justice. Oyesiku and her security guard were discovered dead at her residence in Iyana Agodo Village, Ogun State, prompting a police investigation.

Kitan was a peaceful, kind-hearted, and compassionate woman whose life was cut short in a cruel and senseless manner. She did not deserve such a painful end.

According to reports, police detectives found signs of forced entry at the scene. The security guard's body was located at the post, while Oyesiku was found inside her apartment. The Ogun State Police Command has initiated an investigation, and a vehicle initially reported missing from the deceased's residence has since been recovered.

We commend the Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, and officers of the Ogun State Police Command for the steps taken so far in the investigation. We appreciate their commitment and encourage them to sustain the momentum until every individual connected with this heinous crime is identified, arrested, and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

The group, Friends of Kitan Oyesiku, described the deceased as a "peaceful, kind-hearted, and compassionate woman" whose life was tragically cut short. They expressed devastation over her death and appealed to authorities not to let the case go unsolved. "Justice must not only be done but also be seen to be done," the group stated, emphasizing that bringing the perpetrators to justice would reassure the public.
