Fritz: USR ministers delivered results in 100 days despite 'tied hands', criticizes PSD's 'crisis'

USR party leader Dominic Fritz marked 100 days since the PSD withdrew from the government, asserting that his party's ministers have achieved significant results despite working under restrictive conditions. Fritz highlighted key projects, including over 20,000 hectares reforested, exceeding Romania's PNRR target, attributed to Environment Minister Diana Buzoianu.

With Diana Buzoianu and the Environment team, Romania achieved what many no longer thought possible: over 20,000 hectares reforested (Romania's PNRR target: 18,000 ha).

He also pointed to reforms in consular services for Romanians abroad, led by Oana Țoiu, which aim to eliminate illegal booking fees and increase service delivery. Additionally, Fritz noted the reactivation of the Sadu factory by Economy Minister Radu Miruță and interim minister Irineu Darău, transforming a neglected site into an operational facility with new equipment and staff.

Oana Țoiu is reforming consular services for the diaspora by eliminating intermediaries who illegally charged for appointments. 500,000 consular services delivered this year.

Despite these accomplishments, Fritz criticized the current political landscape, stating that Romania needs a fully empowered government focused on improving citizens' lives, not protecting privileged interests. He reiterated USR's proposal for a minority government formed with PNL and UDMR, emphasizing their commitment to a solution that benefits Romanians. The PSD had previously withdrawn political support for the government and, alongside AUR, initiated a no-confidence motion.

Radu Miruță together with Irineu Darău has put the Sadu factory back on its feet: halls with new equipment, people with salaries up to date, the factory registered in SAFE, concrete contracts on the table. After years of neglect, trees had grown in the factory.
