FRSC lauds personnel on Eid el-Kabir special patrol

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has lauded its personnel for their effective performance during the Eid el-Kabir Special Patrol Operations nationwide. Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed praised the officers, stating their work was crucial for improved safety and smoother traffic flow on highways during the festive period. Supervisory teams from the National Headquarters monitored the operations across the country and reported positively on the personnel's efforts. Mohammed commended the officers for demonstrating "dedication, professionalism, and remarkable performance." He noted that their commitment and gallantry significantly contributed to the successes achieved in ensuring safer roads and better traffic management. The Corps Marshal expressed satisfaction with the general conduct and operational efficiency, urging personnel to maintain their momentum throughout the operation's duration. He attributed the progress to the unwavering commitment of FRSC staff and the cooperation from motorists. Appealing to road users, Mohammed urged continued compliance with traffic regulations and safety advisories. He expressed confidence in the personnel's ability to sustain the gains made. However, he warned that some motorists still engage in dangerous violations, such as speeding, dangerous overtaking, overloading, and using mobile phones while driving, which undermine road safety efforts. The Corps Marshal stressed that road safety is a shared responsibility and that "the road does not forgive mistakes." The FRSC reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe and seamless post-Eid el-Kabir period. This will be achieved through sustained enforcement, public enlightenment campaigns, effective traffic management, and prompt rescue services across the nation's highways.
