Fuel attendant suffers violent assault, left abandoned on lonely road

A fuel attendant in Panama's Coclé Province became the target of a violent assault and robbery, leaving him abandoned on a solitary road. The incident occurred at a service station located at the entrance to Santa Ana, on the route towards La Pintada.

According to initial reports, a group of armed individuals stormed the station's offices and made off with the day's earnings. Authorities have not yet disclosed the exact amount of money stolen during the robbery.

Following the theft, the assailants abducted the fuel attendant. They bound and gagged him before abandoning him on a remote road in the community of Cermeño, within the Penonomé district. The victim sustained multiple injuries across his body.

Despite his injuries, the attendant managed to seek help from local residents, who then alerted the authorities. He was subsequently transported to the Aquilino Tejeira Hospital, where he received medical treatment and is reported to be in stable condition. The Public Ministry and the National Police have launched an investigation to apprehend those responsible for the crime.
