FULL LIST: 13 African countries eligible for visa on arrival in Lebanon

Lebanon has established a visa-on-arrival policy for citizens of 13 African nations, allowing them to enter the country for tourism without obtaining a visa beforehand from a Lebanese embassy.

According to the Lebanese General Security, eligible travelers will be issued a one-month tourist visa upon arrival at the country's airports or land border crossings. This policy aims to facilitate travel for citizens from selected countries across North, West, and East Africa.

The 13 African countries whose citizens are eligible for this visa-on-arrival policy are: Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia (North Africa); Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria (West Africa); and Comoros, Djibouti, Somalia (East Africa).

Despite eligibility, travelers must meet specific entry requirements to be granted a visa on arrival. These include presenting a confirmed return ticket to their home country or an onward travel ticket, proof of accommodation in Lebanon (either a confirmed hotel booking or a verified residential address with contact details), and evidence of sufficient financial means, amounting to at least $2,000 in cash or a certified bank cheque. Failure to meet these conditions may result in entry refusal.
