Funeral Held for Fallen Police Officer Tayfun Baş in Muğla

A funeral ceremony was held for fallen police officer Tayfun Baş, 32, at the Muğla Police Department. The event was attended by Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras, AKP Muğla Deputy Yakup Otgöz, Menteşe Mayor Gonca Köksal Aras, provincial protocol, and personnel from the police and gendarmerie, alongside citizens.

After Baş's body, draped in the Turkish flag, was brought to the ceremony area, a moment of silence was observed, and the fallen officer's biography was read. Muğla Mufti Rüstem Can led a prayer.

During the ceremony, Baş's wife, Özlem Baş, his daughter, and his mother embraced the coffin, weeping. The wife's words to their daughter, "Your father became an angel," caused emotional moments. After the final rites, the body of police officer Tayfun Baş was sent to Denizli for burial. Baş, originally registered in the İncirliova district of Aydın, was to be buried in Denizli at his wife's request.
