Furia Roja demands improved performance from Unión Española squad

The "Furia Roja" fan group of Unión Española has directly addressed the team, expressing concern over their current performance in the Liga de Ascenso and emphasizing the "necessity and obligation to improve" in the second half of the tournament.

The team, currently in eighth place with 22 points, faces a significant gap of 10 points from the league leader, Cobreloa. They are tied in points with several other teams, making the upcoming second round crucial for their promotion aspirations. The "Hispanos" have secured six wins, four draws, and five losses so far.

During the meeting, the fan group conveyed both support and expectations. They stressed that the club's primary goal, promotion to the Primera División, must be achieved. "There is no other vision, no opportunities, nothing. This year we must be promoted, yes or yes," the group stated, leaving no room for ambiguity.

To bolster their chances, Unión Española has signed Argentine forward Franco Ratotti, who returns to the club, and midfielder Nicolás Anelka Valencia. These new additions are expected to strengthen the squad as they prepare for their next match against Deportes Recoleta on July 27.
