Fury Says Joshua Fight Is Off and Calls for Another Usyk Rematch

Tyson Fury has thrown his long-awaited fight with Anthony Joshua into doubt, accusing his fellow former heavyweight champion of backing out over the date and venue.

In an expletive-laden video posted on Instagram, Fury said Joshua was indecisive and called him “weak-minded.” The two men have been negotiating an all-British showdown, expected in November at New York’s Madison Square Garden, but Joshua’s camp prefers Wembley Stadium. The choice of Madison Square Garden has drawn backlash from British boxing fans.

Fury’s frustration has spilled into a series of videos over the past week. After calling Joshua a coward, he said the uncertainty had pushed him toward another opponent, Oleksandr Usyk, the Ukrainian fighter who has twice beaten him.

Joshua has been working with Usyk’s training team, adding another link between the disputed fight and Fury’s proposed alternative.
