Futsal player kicked opponent's head in Brazil and was suspended for five years

A shocking act of violence has led to a five-year ban for a futsal player in Fortaleza, Brazil. The player was suspended after brutally kicking an opponent in the head while the latter was on the ground during a match.

The incident, captured on video, took place during a game between RDJ Esport Feminino and As Resenhas in the Liga Deportiva Eusébio. The aggressor committed the foul and then delivered two forceful kicks to the head of the fallen player. When another player attempted to intervene, the aggressor also struck her in the face.

The match was halted, and the injured player was taken to the hospital. She has since been released and is reported to be in good health, recovering at home. Local authorities, including the Eusébio municipality's Department of Sports and Youth, publicly condemned the violence and reaffirmed their commitment to amateur sports.

In response to the severe misconduct, the Liga Deportiva Eusébio and the Sejuv Coordinating Body, through their Disciplinary Commission, imposed the five-year suspension on the player. This ban prohibits her from participating in any organized sports activities within the city's league.
