Future Transportation Tech on Display at 2026 National Exhibition

Seoul's COEX convention center is hosting the '2026 National Transportation Technology Exhibition,' a four-day event dedicated to showcasing the future of transportation and infrastructure.

Under the theme 'Move for Tomorrow,' the exhibition features cutting-edge technologies in autonomous driving, aerospace, smart construction, and AI cities. A total of 81 organizations are participating, presenting their innovations across five distinct zones: Mobility, Smart Construction, AI City, Aerospace, and Innovative Companies. Visitors can explore 409 booths displaying advancements such as autonomous driving systems, construction robots, energy-efficient housing, and satellite and drone technologies, alongside innovations from 28 startups.

Kim Hyun-mee, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, highlighted the significance of these technological advancements during the opening ceremony. "Transportation innovation technologies not only improve the quality of life for our citizens but will also play a pivotal role in future industries transformed by AI," she stated. "We will strive to foster and support the transportation technology ecosystem so that excellent domestic technologies can lead the future market."

The exhibition has expanded its industry presence, with major companies and institutions like Hyundai Motor Group, Korean Air, Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL), and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority (KOTSA) significantly increasing their booth presence. The event also includes interactive programs such as master lectures on robotics and AI by science influencers and guided tours, alongside business-matching sessions connecting startups with investors and venture capitalists to support commercialization and market entry.
