G7 Summit to Tackle Global Inequality and Digital Rules with Expanded Guest List

French President Emmanuel Macron is set to host leaders from Brazil, South Korea, India, and Kenya at the upcoming G7 summit, aiming to broaden the forum beyond industrialized nations. Macron, who will conclude his second term next year, seeks to avoid the perception of the G7 as a bloc solely for developed powers.

The summit's agenda will prominently feature discussions on global economic inequalities and the evolving landscape of digital regulation. These topics reflect pressing international concerns about the distribution of wealth and the governance of rapidly advancing technologies.

In addition to national leaders, the summit will convene top executives from major technology companies. Invited guests include Sam Altman and Dario Amodei, leaders of AI research firms OpenAI and Anthropic, respectively. Arthur Mench, founder of the French AI company Mistral AI, will also attend, signaling the critical role of artificial intelligence and digital innovation in global economic and regulatory discussions.
