Gabriel Jesus moves from Arsenal to Barcelona

Gabriel Jesus has arrived in Barcelona, with the Catalan club completing the Brazilian striker’s move from Arsenal shortly before the transfer window closed.

Jesus signed a three-year contract with Barcelona after the club lost Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres from its attack. The transfer gives the Spanish side a new option up front as it rebuilds its striking ranks.

Barcelona had previously tried, without success, to prise Julián Álvarez away from Atlético Madrid. The failed approach left the club looking elsewhere before it settled on Jesus, who joins from the English champions Arsenal.
