Gabriel Milito Rejects River Plate Links, Affirms Commitment to Chivas

Gabriel Milito, the current head coach of Mexican club Chivas, has firmly dismissed speculation linking him to the vacant coaching position at Argentine giants River Plate. The rumors emerged following a dismal start to the season for River Plate under Eduardo Coudet, who has lost all three of the team's opening matches.

Reports in the Argentine press suggested Milito was a potential candidate to replace Coudet, whose position is reportedly under pressure. However, Milito was unequivocal in his response when questioned about the rumors during a press conference ahead of Chivas's Leagues Cup debut.

Milito's contract with Chivas is valid until June 2027, and he reiterated his dedication to the club's success. Despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Coudet's future at River Plate, Milito's commitment to his current role remains steadfast, shutting down any immediate possibility of a move back to Argentine football.
