Garbage Uncollected for 1.5 Months in Kyrgyz Village, Residents Complain of Stench

Residents of Aleksandrovka village in Kyrgyzstan's Moskovsky district are facing a severe sanitation crisis due to the prolonged absence of garbage collection. For approximately six weeks, household waste has accumulated on streets including Komsomolskaya, Pionerskaya, Masanchina, Oktyabrskaya, Novostroyka, and Lenina. The uncollected refuse has led to pervasive unpleasant odors and the decomposition of waste, creating unsanitary conditions.

"The bags are rotting, and the stench is unbearable," described concerned residents. They report that their repeated written and verbal appeals to the head of the Min-Bulak rural municipality (ayыл өкмөтү) and the management of the municipal enterprise "Taza Bulak" have gone unaddressed. The villagers are urging local authorities to establish a regular system for solid waste removal and resolve the escalating problem.

This is not the first time residents of Aleksandrovka have raised concerns about environmental issues. Previously, villagers had complained about a burning garbage dump in the area. The current situation highlights a significant lapse in municipal services, impacting the daily lives and health of the community. The villagers' plea underscores the urgent need for effective waste management solutions to maintain basic public health standards.
