Gardaí Appeal for Information After Woman's Body Discovered in Dublin Park

An investigation is underway after the body of a woman in her 20s was discovered in Ravensdale Park, Kimmage, south Dublin, earlier this week. Gardaí were initially called to the scene on Tuesday, and at that time, foul play was not suspected.

However, An Garda Síochána confirmed on Friday that they are continuing to investigate all circumstances surrounding the discovery. The woman's body was removed from the park, and a postmortem examination was conducted by the State pathologist. The results of this examination are not being released at this time for operational reasons.

A technical examination of the park area has been completed. Gardaí have assigned a liaison officer to support the woman's family and have appointed a senior investigating officer to lead the inquiry.

Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that might assist their investigation. They are particularly interested in anyone who was in the vicinity of Ravensdale Park and Kimmage Road Lower between 8:30 p.m. on Monday and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, especially those with camera footage, including dashcams. Information can be provided to Crumlin Garda station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda station.
