Argentine journalist Gastón Edul is stepping out from behind the camera and microphone to face a new challenge: boxing. He is set to compete against Spanish journalist Eduardo Aguirre in the sixth edition of "La velada del año," a boxing event organized by Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos.

Edul has been preparing rigorously for this challenge for months. He has showcased his dramatic physical transformation, a result of demanding training, on his social media. During his coverage of the Argentine national team's matches in the United States leading up to the World Cup, Edul dedicated his free time to training for the boxing tournament.

Photos and videos shared by Edul reveal his intense workouts, including weightlifting and ring training, which have visibly reshaped his physique. He expressed his enthusiasm and commitment, stating, "I am very excited and happy. I swear that, despite all the work I have and the trips, I will train thoroughly and give everything. Because I know I'm not doing it just for myself, but because I represent Argentina and especially Latin America. To win here in Spain, so I'm going to give my heart."

The event, "La velada del año 6," is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, at the La Cartuja stadium in Seville, Spain. Edul, 30, will face Aguirre, 38, who is 1.80 meters tall, eight centimeters taller than Edul. Community predictions on the event's official page currently favor the European competitor with 66 percent of the votes, while Edul has garnered 34 percent support.

This boxing match is part of a larger event featuring several personalities competing in the ring. Other Argentine participants include singer Mauro Román Monzón, known as Lit Killah, who will fight Spanish musician Kidd Keo.
