Gaza Conflict: 73,431 Palestinians Dead, 174,437 Injured in 'Genocidal Aggression,' Health Ministry Reports

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has released updated figures detailing the devastating toll of the ongoing conflict in Gaza, stating that "genocidal aggression" has led to 73,431 deaths and 174,437 injuries since October 7, 2023. The majority of those killed and wounded are reported to be women and children.

Recent incidents highlight the continued violence. In the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, aerial bombings near a UNRWA school sheltering displaced individuals resulted in the deaths of three Palestinians and injured several others. Separately, a Palestinian died from wounds sustained in a strike west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Wafa also reported that a Palestinian succumbed to injuries from a strike targeting a tent in Deir al-Balah, in the central part of the enclave, on Monday. The previous day, eight Palestinians, including two children, were killed in a series of attacks across Gaza. Additionally, two others died from injuries sustained after being targeted by occupation forces. Numerous individuals were also wounded in strikes that hit residential areas and civilian infrastructure.

In the last 24 hours, hospitals in Gaza received the bodies of nine martyrs and treated 36 injured individuals. The ministry noted that many victims remain trapped under rubble. Since a ceasefire went into effect on October 10, authorities report 1,296 Palestinians killed and 4,296 injured, with 814 bodies recovered.
