GCC, MWL Condemn Terrorist Attacks on Saudi Arabia

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Muslim World League (MWL) have issued strong condemnations of ongoing terrorist attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, attributing the assaults to Iran-affiliated militias operating from Iraq. The escalating violence, which has included attempts to strike oil facilities in the Eastern Region, is viewed as a significant threat to regional stability.

GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi described the attacks as a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of Saudi sovereignty. He emphasized that these hostile acts directly threaten the Kingdom's security and stability, as well as broader regional peace. Albudaiwi affirmed the GCC states' unwavering support for Saudi Arabia's efforts to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, noting that the continuation of such assaults undermines international de-escalation efforts.

Echoing the GCC's stance, the Muslim World League also voiced its strong disapproval of the "treacherous criminal attacks." MWL Secretary General Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa reiterated the condemnation, stating that the assaults violate all religious values, international laws, and humanitarian norms. Representing global Muslim councils, bodies, and institutions, Al-Issa reaffirmed the MWL's complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia, supporting all measures taken to deter aggressors and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.
