Geely Galaxy Launches EV Lineup in Nigeria, Partners with TIM Motors

Geely Galaxy has officially launched in Nigeria, marking its entry into the African market with a strategic partnership with TIM Motors. The brand, part of China's Geely Auto Group, aims to drive the transition to new-energy mobility in Nigeria.

At a Lagos event, Geely Galaxy unveiled three models tailored for the Nigerian market. The EX5 EM-i is a smart family SUV offering a combined petrol and electric range exceeding 1000km, designed for efficiency and reduced emissions. For urban commuters, the EX2 is an affordable, all-electric subcompact hatchback built for city life, promising lower running costs and an escape from fuel queues. A value-focused mid-size SUV, the EX5, also joins the lineup with over 430km of driving range.

Geely Galaxy's entry addresses a growing demand for electric vehicles in Nigeria, a market identified as a compelling growth area for new-energy mobility in Africa. TIM International's General Manager for the Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Leon Zhan, expressed confidence in the brand's potential.
