Generation Identitær criticizes Danish People's Party's stance on remigration

The Danish People's Party (DF) is facing criticism from Generation Identitær, a group advocating for remigration, which argues the party is jeopardizing its political future.

Daniel Nordentoft, spokesperson for Generation Identitær, stated that many Danes hold more conservative views on immigration than DF currently demonstrates. He believes that if DF abandons its core demand for remigration, the party will lose its reason for being.

Nordentoft's comments come amid a period where DF, led by Morten Messerschmidt, appears to be softening its stance on immigration. Historically, remigration has been a central tenet of DF's platform, but recent signals suggest a potential shift.

Generation Identitær, for whom remigration is a key concept, sees this potential shift as a critical misstep. They argue that by not firmly adhering to the remigration policy, DF risks alienating voters who are looking for a party with a more hardline approach to immigration.
