German Acquisition Lifts Transport Giant DSV Even Higher

Danish transport and logistics firm DSV has seen its financial performance significantly boosted by the multi-billion euro acquisition of German company Schenker. The integration of Schenker has led to substantial growth in both revenue and operating profit for the second quarter of 2026, according to financial figures released Tuesday.

DSV's revenue climbed by 17.5 percent to 76.7 billion Danish kroner. Operating profit also saw a considerable increase, rising from 4.7 billion kroner to 6.3 billion kroner. The company noted in its quarterly report that these results were achieved despite challenging and volatile market conditions, partly influenced by the conflict in the Middle East.

The Air & Sea division, responsible for sea and air freight, was a key contributor to this growth. The report highlighted that the conflict between the USA and Iran, along with blockades of the Strait of Hormuz, has driven up freight prices due to increased transportation difficulties. This geopolitical tension has indirectly benefited DSV's logistics operations.

In light of these strong results, DSV's management has revised its full-year operating profit expectations upward. The company now anticipates its operating profit for the year to fall within the range of 23.5 to 25.5 billion kroner. This adjustment reflects confidence in continued performance despite ongoing global uncertainties.
