German Press Reports: The Truth About Sacha Boey at Galatasaray

Galatasaray had intended to purchase Sacha Boey from Bayern Munich, but the transfer was ultimately abandoned due to Turkey's foreign player regulations. The club reportedly allocated between 10 to 15 million Euros for the French player's transfer fee.

However, the stringent foreign player quota in Turkey left only one available slot. Galatasaray needed this slot for a different position, forcing them to abandon the transfer of Boey. This situation was previously alluded to by Galatasaray Technical Director Okan Buruk, who mentioned that the new foreign player rules prevented them from pursuing players like Boey who were on loan last season.

Adding to Boey's uncertain future, Bayern Munich's Sporting Director Max Eberl stated that the player is not in their plans and is on the transfer list. Eberl confirmed, "Sacha Boey has no future at Bayern Munich, he is on the transfer list."
