Germany: Do you look optimistically to Germany's future?

The ZEIT platform "Deutschland spricht" (Germany Speaks) is facilitating structured dialogues to bridge divides in an increasingly polarized society. The initiative brings together individuals with differing viewpoints for one-on-one conversations, aiming to foster understanding and respectful exchange.

The next "Deutschland spricht" event is scheduled for August 30th. Participants will engage in discussions based on eight pre-selected questions concerning controversial topics. These questions are designed to stimulate thoughtful debate and encourage participants to explore diverse perspectives.

Among the topics addressed is the question of whether Germany should rely on the United States, and another explores the potential for banning social media for individuals under 16. The central question featured in this particular article is: "Do you look optimistically to Germany's future?"
