Germany: Weather turns cooler and clearer

Residents in Germany's Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland regions can expect a pleasant turn in the weather, with conditions becoming mostly clear and less intensely hot. The German Weather Service (DWD) forecasts a summery outlook for the coming days.

On Wednesday, temperatures are predicted to climb between 29 and 34 degrees Celsius. Higher elevations in the Westerwald region might experience slightly cooler temperatures around 27 degrees. While mostly free of precipitation, the DWD has not entirely ruled out the possibility of isolated, brief thunderstorms, particularly towards the Westerwald area.

Looking ahead to Thursday, the forecast indicates continued clear skies and dry weather. High temperatures are expected to range from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius, with cooler temperatures around 23 degrees in higher mountain areas. A moderate westerly wind, shifting to northwesterly later in the day, will accompany the pleasant conditions.

Friday is also expected to be mostly clear to sunny and remain dry, according to meteorologists. Temperatures will range between 24 and 29 degrees Celsius, with highs around 22 degrees in higher elevations. A light to moderate wind will blow from the north.
