Ghanaian lawyer collapses, dies celebrating World Cup win

A promising young Ghanaian lawyer, Sarah Araba Tettey, has died after collapsing during celebrations for Ghana's World Cup victory against Panama. The 26-year-old was reportedly watching the match with friends at Standard Hostel in Bomso, near the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, when she fell.

Medical personnel at a local hospital attempted to revive Tettey after she was rushed there, but she was later pronounced dead. Tettey had been called to the Ghana Bar earlier in the year and was practicing with O & A Legal Consult. Her death has prompted an outpouring of grief on social media from friends, colleagues, and former classmates who mourn the loss of a "promising young lawyer."

As of the time of reporting, Tettey's family had not issued an official statement regarding the circumstances of her death. Her body has been deposited at a mortuary pending further arrangements, and the exact cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed by her family or medical authorities.
