Giant Crayon Shin-chan and Shiro Appear at Pingtung Summer Carnival Festival

Pingtung County is gearing up for its annual Summer Carnival Festival, set to open on July 4th at the County Citizen Park. This year's event boasts a "Crayon Shin-chan" theme, with giant installations of the beloved anime character and his dog, Shiro. A 10-meter-tall Shin-chan, sporting swimming goggles, lounges by a three-tiered pool, while a 6-meter-tall Shiro rests on the lawn, drawing crowds for photos.

The festival includes three main attractions: the "Carnival Paradise" with popular amusement rides, a "Theme Exhibition" featuring an interactive "Crayon Shin-chan: The Battle of the Great Golden Sword" experience, and a "Summer Theater" with performances. The amusement rides and outdoor installations are free, while tickets for the interactive exhibition are available for pre-purchase.

Pingtung County Government today (1st) specially planned a "Sneak Peek Day" for children to enjoy the pirate ship, carousel, and small train rides, and happily take photos with classic characters Crayon Shin-chan and Shiro, to lively kick off the event.

The carnival runs until August 30th, with extended hours on weekends, and the theme exhibition continues until October 11th. The event aims to provide a fun-filled summer for families, combining classic amusement park attractions with a popular anime theme.
