Gigabyte Technology posts record Q2 revenue, secures 4nm US client project

ASIC design firm Gigabyte Technology (8227) announced a record-breaking second quarter, with consolidated revenue reaching NT$613 million. This figure represents a significant 121.7% surge compared to the same period last year and a 65.9% increase from the previous quarter, setting a new historical high for the company's quarterly earnings. For the first half of the year, cumulative revenue climbed to NT$983 million, marking a substantial 107.9% year-over-year growth.

The company's operational success is fueled by the sustained strong demand for Artificial Intelligence (AI), High-Performance Computing (HPC), and SerDes applications. Gigabyte highlighted its achievement in securing a 4-nanometer process design-in project with a prominent US-based client. Furthermore, several advanced process projects, utilizing nodes below 12nm, are progressing into mass production, positioning the company for synchronized growth in both design services and manufacturing revenue.

Gigabyte expressed strong optimism for its performance in the second half of the year and the full fiscal year. The company's advanced process layout includes successful entry into a US client's 4nm process design-in project. Multiple projects utilizing processes below 12nm are also entering mass production, expected to drive simultaneous growth in design services and manufacturing revenue.

This robust first-half performance underscores Gigabyte's competitive edge in the advanced process design services market. As demand for AI and high-performance computing continues to expand, clients increasingly value expertise in high-end process IP integration and mass production experience. Gigabyte plans to further deepen its collaborations with wafer foundries and assembly and testing supply chain partners to capitalize on the growth opportunities presented by the AI wave.
