Girl Group KATSEYE Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 with 'WILD' EP

Global girl group KATSEYE has achieved a major milestone, reaching the number one spot on the Billboard 200 main album chart with their latest EP, 'WILD'. This significant achievement marks the group's first time topping the prestigious chart since their debut in 2024, solidifying their status as a rising force in the international music scene.

The EP 'WILD', a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records, recorded impressive first-week sales in the United States, totaling 170,000 album units, with 145,000 from pure album sales. This figure represents the highest weekly sales for a girl group since the chart's methodology was updated in December 2015, underscoring the EP's widespread appeal.

KATSEYE's success is not confined to the US market. 'WILD' has also demonstrated strong performance on European charts, securing the number one position in the Netherlands and Belgium, and reaching second place in the UK and France. The EP also charted in Ireland (third) and Germany (fourth), showcasing the group's broad international reach.

Further demonstrating their global traction, the EP's pre-release single 'Animal' and title track 'Hootie Frutti' have performed well on various single charts. KATSEYE's Spotify monthly listeners have surpassed 38.28 million, setting a new personal record for the group. The group has previously seen success with songs like 'Gnarly' and 'Gabriela' charting on the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100. Their collaboration single 'ICONIC BY MISTAKE' with Le Sserafim and ILLIT also garnered significant attention.

While KATSEYE was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards earlier this year, they did not secure a win. However, they achieved a significant victory at the 2026 American Music Awards, winning three awards. The group is set to embark on 'THE WILDWORLD TOUR', commencing in Dublin, Ireland, on September 1, with stops planned in major European and North American cities.
