Goalkeeper's Own Goal Opens Scoring in Inter Miami's MLS Match Against Chicago Fire

Inter Miami conceded an early own goal from their goalkeeper, Rocco Ríos Novo, in the 18th minute of their MLS match against Chicago Fire. The 24-year-old, who has represented Argentina at the youth level, miskicked a back pass from defender Ian Fray, sending the ball into his own net.

Despite the setback, Inter Miami managed to take the lead thanks to two goals from Luis Suárez. The Uruguayan striker converted a penalty in the 27th minute and added a second goal early in the second half, finishing a well-worked team move. Suárez was playing in his 100th match for Inter Miami.

However, Inter Miami could not hold onto their advantage. Chicago Fire equalized in the 67th minute with a goal from Puso Dithejane, his first in the league. The match marked Inter Miami's return to MLS play after a nearly two-month break, with Lionel Messi and Rodrigo De Paul absent as they are on vacation following Argentina's World Cup final loss.
