'Going blue': Israel funds marine renewable energy innovation

Israel is making a significant investment in harnessing its marine resources for renewable energy, announcing a new fund to support "Blue-Tech Energies."

The Israel Innovation Authority (IIA), in collaboration with the Energy and Infrastructure Ministry, has allocated an initial NIS 6 million to foster research and development in marine-focused energy solutions. This initiative aims to promote a new generation of Israeli innovations in offshore renewable energy generation and artificial intelligence-powered marine energy management systems.
