Gold Price Drops by Rs 5,100 Per Tola in Nepal; Down Rs 24,400 in a Week

The price of gold in Nepal experienced a sharp decline on Thursday, falling by Rs 5,100 per tola. The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association set the price of fine gold at Rs 286,700 per tola for the day.

This latest drop follows a significant downward trend in the precious metal's value. Gold prices had previously stood at Rs 291,800 per tola on Wednesday. Over the past two days, gold prices have decreased by Rs 15,200 per tola, and within the last week, the decline amounts to Rs 24,400 per tola.

On Tuesday, gold was trading at Rs 301,900 per tola. Last Thursday, the price was even higher, recorded at Rs 311,100 per tola. This substantial decrease over a short period indicates a notable shift in the market.

In line with gold, the price of silver also saw a reduction on Thursday, decreasing by Rs 90 per tola. Silver, which was priced at Rs 4,740 per tola on Wednesday, dropped to Rs 4,650 per tola. Earlier in the week, on Tuesday, silver was traded at Rs 4,925 per tola.
