Golfer Kim Si-woo Gets 'Free Toll' Invitation from Canadian Tunnel Authority After Border Mix-Up

Professional golfer Kim Si-woo experienced an unusual detour during the Rocket Mortgage Classic tournament when he accidentally crossed the Canadian border while trying to reach a restaurant in Detroit.

The incident occurred when Kim and fellow golfer Michael Kim planned to dine at a Korean restaurant named 'Daebak.' However, a navigation error led Kim to enter the wrong establishment, which happened to be located across the border in Windsor, Canada.

Following the mix-up, the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel operator extended a unique invitation to the golfer. They posted a photo of a sign at the tunnel entrance that read "FREE TOLL FOR SI WOO KIM" on their official Instagram account.

The tunnel authority expressed their pleasure at the prospect of Kim visiting again, stating, "We would be delighted if golfer Kim Si-woo visits here again for a drive." They added, "We will make arrangements for a smooth passage next time, but please be sure to bring your passport."
