Gombe gov appoints 10 special advisers, two deputy chiefs of staff

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya has approved the appointment of 10 Special Advisers and two Deputy Chiefs of Staff, signaling an effort to bolster governance and enhance service delivery throughout the state. The appointments, announced Monday by the Director-General of Press Affairs, Ismaila Misilli, took effect from May 1, 2026.

These appointments are intended to reinforce the administration's governance structure and improve coordination between various government institutions and the communities they serve. The move aligns with Governor Yahaya's commitment to consolidating his administration's achievements by strengthening strategic advisory roles.

The appointments are in line with Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s commitment to consolidating the gains of his administration by strengthening strategic advisory roles and enhancing coordination between government and communities across the state.

The newly appointed Special Advisers cover diverse portfolios, including Chieftaincy Affairs, Inter-Party Relations, Education, Political and Community Relations, Special Duties, Political and Community Engagement, Rural Development and Community Relations, Youth Engagement, Political Affairs, and Women Mobilisation. Additionally, Mohammed Adamu and Isiyaka Shu’aibu were appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff (Central) and Deputy Chief of Staff (South), respectively.

The governor expressed confidence that the appointees will leverage their experience and expertise to support the implementation of the administration's development agenda. The appointments are anticipated to strengthen policy execution, political engagement, and community outreach initiatives across Gombe State.
