Gombe gov hands INEC forms to APC assembly candidates

Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) fully prepared for the 2027 general elections, formally presenting nomination forms to candidates for the 24 state House of Assembly constituencies. The presentation ceremony, held at the Government House in Gombe, also included INEC acknowledgement slips for senatorial and House of Representatives candidates.

We now have our governorship candidate in Dr Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, alongside our candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and the state House of Assembly.

Governor Yahaya stated that the successful conclusion of the party's primaries marks the beginning of a new phase focused on achieving an overwhelming victory at the polls. He congratulated the candidates and described the primaries as peaceful, transparent, and credible, with outcomes accepted by the national leadership of the APC. This, he noted, has resolved any issues related to the nomination process.

Addressing party leaders, candidates, and supporters, Yahaya urged them to unite and intensify grassroots mobilization efforts. He stressed the importance of working as a cohesive family to ensure the victory of President Bola Tinubu, the APC governorship candidate Dr. Jamilu Gwamna, and all national and state Assembly candidates. "The task before us is to remain united and work tirelessly to deliver victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates from top to bottom," the governor stated.

Governor Yahaya also charged party members to effectively communicate the APC's message and showcase the achievements of President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, alongside the transformational strides made by his administration in Gombe State. He expressed confidence in the party's performance, stating, "APC can confidently beat its chest anywhere because we have fulfilled our campaign promises. Our performance speaks for itself."

Usman Kumo, the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives and APC candidate for Akko Federal Constituency, spoke on behalf of the National Assembly candidates.
