Gombe PDP governorship aspirant vows inclusive leadership, women empowerment

In Gombe State, a new voice emerges with the declaration of Monica Yahaya, a 33-year-old governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), setting her sights on the 2027 election. Yahaya's ambition is rooted in her extensive community development work, particularly with rural women, a demographic she feels is underrepresented in governance. Her platform centers on inclusive leadership, robust women's empowerment initiatives, and dedicated grassroots development, aiming to bring a fresh perspective to the state's political landscape.
