Gov donates N114,000 each to Kaduna hajj pilgrims on S’Arabia visit

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has provided financial support to pilgrims from his state currently performing the 2026 Hajj in Saudi Arabia. Each pilgrim received 300 Saudi Riyals, an amount equivalent to approximately N114,000, to assist with their welfare during the pilgrimage.

The governor announced this gesture while visiting the Kaduna pilgrims in their tents in Mina. He commended the pilgrims and the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency for the successful and organized conduct of the Hajj exercise. Governor Sani also praised the Kaduna State Hajj Delegation Committee for ensuring a smooth pilgrimage.

The distance between my tent and the pilgrims’ camp is about two to three kilometers, and ordinarily, I would have arrived quickly. However, all roads leading here were blocked, and I had to trek for about four to five hours before reaching this place.

Governor Sani acknowledged that his administration made efforts to ensure the pilgrims' comfort and the pilgrimage's success. He apologized for any minor challenges encountered, attributing them to unintentional lapses, and stated, "As human beings, we can only plan, but Allah determines the final outcome." The governor also shared his personal experience, mentioning he had to trek for several hours to reach the pilgrims' camp due to blocked roads.

Urging the pilgrims to pray for Nigeria, Governor Sani stressed the importance of peace and unity for the country's development. He stated that meaningful progress can only thrive in a peaceful environment and prayed for divine guidance for those causing unrest. He also remarked that politics and the pursuit of public office should never be valued above human lives.
